Alex Muster

All CVs and applications

This demo shows what the generator makes from a single dataset: a CV, versions for different roles and applications for single job ads, each in the company's colours. Alex Muster and all companies are fictional.

CVs

The main CV shows the whole profile. The role versions show the same positions but put other experience and skills first.

Applications

Each application belongs to one job ad: CV and motivation letter on one page, in the company's colours and the typeface of its industry. The language is the language of the ad.

How the generator works

You write your CV once, as a text file. Everything else is made from it automatically.

  1. Data: one YAML file (data/cv.yaml) holds the whole profile: positions, education, skills with a level and languages, in German and English.
  2. Role versions: one small file per target role changes texts only (title, summary, focus). The facts always come from the whole profile.
  3. Applications: one file per job ad adds the motivation letter, key strengths, the company's colours and the industry, which sets typeface and style.
  4. Build: npm run build checks every file against a schema and renders static HTML pages. There is no server, no tracking and no external request.
  5. Check: automatic tests open every page in a browser, on the phone and on the desktop: no sideways scrolling, text at least 16 px, touch targets at least 44 px, accessibility, A4 print.
  6. Publish: every push to main publishes the pages with GitHub Pages and prints the PDFs for download.

To use the generator yourself, replace the sample data with your own. SETUP.md explains how, with a prompt for coding agents.
